OMG you guys, I've been living in The Lands Between since Elden Ring dropped in 2022, but the new Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 has me shooketh! 🥵 Just when I thought I'd seen it all, FromSoftware blessed us with two SICK new starter classes - Knight of Ides and Heavy Knight. As someone who's died approximately 8,742 times to Tree Sentinels (no cap 😩), this fresh content has me feeling like a noob all over again - in the best way possible!
That Shadow of the Erdtree DLC visual still gives me chills
🤯 Why These New Classes Are Total Game-Changers
Let's spill the tea ☕️:
-
Knight of Ides = Low-key giving me Artorias vibes with that majestic cape physics
-
Heavy Knight = THICC armor that goes clank-clank when you roll (yes I tested this for science 🧪)
-
Both classes come with exclusive gear that makes early-game bosses feel less like a nightmare
-
That new Torrent armor? Chef's kiss! 💋 My spectral steed never looked so drippy
🎮 Personal Experience Report
Tried Heavy Knight yesterday and holy Marika's tits! 😱 My defense stats were so OP that:
Enemy | Normal DMG | Heavy Knight DMG |
---|---|---|
Soldier of Godrick | 68 | 12 (!) |
Crucible Knight | 145 | 49 |
Seriously felt like I was cheating! But then Margit wrecked me anyway because... well, it's still Elden Ring 💀 The new combat arts had me like:
"Is this easy mode?"
- Margit, probably

🌟 Tarnished Edition Perks Beyond Classes
This ain't just some lazy port babe:
-
New weapon skins that make my Rivers of Blood look even more 🔪✨ dangerous
-
Quality-of-life updates that reduce open-world jank
-
Photo mode filters worthy of your Instagram feed 📸
-
Secret emotes I won't spoil (but involves 🕺 teabagging animations)
💸 But Wait - There's More!
Don't own Switch 2? Same bestie, same 😭 But low-key genius move:
-
All Tarnished Edition content comes to PS5/Xbox/PC via paid DLC
-
Releasing late 2025 according to my industry insider (my cousin's Discord friend)
-
Perfect excuse for NG+7 run!
Honestly? After 3 years of playing, these additions made me fall in love with the game all over again. The Knight of Ides' lore has me theorizing till 3AM - are they connected to the Eternal Cities? Why do their helmets look like broken halos? 👼
So here's my tea: Starting class still isn't endgame-defining, but man does it change your early-game VIBE. Makes me wonder... if you could create a hybrid class mixing these new knights with magic, what broken build would you make? 🤔 And does Torrent deserve his own character customization now?
P.S. Still no official release date but my clown makeup 🤡 is ready for TGA announcements!
